We went on a mission to find another Sanrio store, then realized it was located in Little Tokyo!
It wasn't on our radar to go there, but it was a pleasant surprise.
We of course went through almost every shop then people watched. Lucky for me, the Gashapon
stores were all CLOSED. That would have been dangerous lol.
I was sooo tired after a long day, but didn't want to miss the chance to explore, and it was
worth it. Slept like a baby.
Would love to go one day when it's open to check out the other stores.
Came here to the Hello Kitty Cafe as soon as we left the airport! I hate how I didn't dress nicer, then again I was taken here as a surpirse lol. Lovely place and the staff were so sweet. They let me open the packaging of the items I was about to buy to make sure they were in good condition.
It was so nice to visit Japan LA in person, after following them on Instagram and watching their
livestreams for ages.
I snagged a few plushies, not including Long Cinnmonroll sadly! I laugh everytime I see that
picture.
I want my shelves at home to look like a Sanrio store lol. Precious babies, I hope to come back
oneday and bring more of you to a loving home.
The snake almost broke my back. It was so heavy
Brick Universe. I took an ungodly amount of pictures, but here were some of my favorites!
It was on my bucket list to visit the Oddities and Curiosities Expo, so we took a weekend road trip
to check it out.
I felt like I was in a museum/flee market with nothing but taxidermy, bugs, and art all around me.
I had a great time browsing everyone's wares and wishing I had a space back home to hoard wet
specimens and taxidermy art alike! One day....I want my future house to be like a museum!!!
I will say, this kind of trip is a ~once in every handful of years~ deal because the booth items
were very repetitive!
This isn't to say it was boring, espcially since most of the items were either one of a kind or only
sold there but..IF ONLY THIS WAS HELD IN MY TOWN!,
I would go every year just for the experience!! In the future I hope to splurge to partcipate in
their taxidermy class or a one off event.
Everytime I think about flying to California, my first thought is the desert view from the plane when
crossing over Arizona.
All the shapes from erosion and what I assume to be warehouses out in the middle of nowhere.
I wish I could be a fly on the wall just to see what goes on out there. I am so interested in
everyone's lives.
I wonder where their home is, and how long it takes to drive to work eachday, their path in life
that got them there..etc. I couldn't imagine being so far away from everything.
That LOONGGG plane ride KILLS me everytime, but this was the second time I've vistied LA and I had a
lot of fun. It was for a conference I had to attend for work,
so I couldn't get out and do much but hey, I wouldn't have been able to go on my own dime, so I made
the best of it.
I was walking distance from Universal City, so I decided to explore, and spotted the Sanrio Smile
shop.
It was meant to be because the line was short despite all the foot traffic! I snagged a few goodies,
and walked out regretting that I didn't bring a bigger suitcase.
I'm sure my wallet sighed with relief LOL. I seriously would have gone CRAZY given the chance. I
wish I could have explored more, but it was off to the confernce after that, then home!
